Overview

This DB6 left the Newport Pagnell factory in January 1969 in its original Celeste Blue with Blue Connolly, chrome road wheels, heated rear screen, 3 ear hubcaps, two seatbelts, power aerial, Motorola radio, 7 pints of anti-freeze, Fiamm horns and two Marchall QI foglamps. First registered to a Mr J.R. Hamblett from Bierton, Aylesbury its early years are unclear but by 1998 it had come into the ownership of Mr K Bell from London who had left it in the capable hands of Peter Austen Smith.

Peter was an ex-Aston Martin factory troubleshooter who had set himself up as an Aston specialist known as ’PAS Mobile’ here in Olney. Pete was Desmond’s employer from an early age as an apprentice and mentor! Mr Bell had decided to part with the car so Peter sold it to a family member, the current owner, in 1999. The new owner immediately did some extensive work to the car either carried out by himself, Peter or some local specialists including fabrication experts Bodylines. Many things were completed including new sills and a re-paint. He has continued to maintain it in that way since then although the DB6 has had minimal use it remains in a good useable condition.
